On Thursday, December 11, 2025, at 6:00 PM, Casa Netural (Via Rastello 19/21, Gorizia) will host a new appointment of the cultural format “Le chiacchiere di Casa Netural”—an evening of dialogue focusing on territories, borders, cultures, and the opportunities to overcome them.
Casa Netural, established in 2024 thanks to the Gorizia Borghi Grant, is an innovative space designed as a hub for relations between Italy and Slovenia—a laboratory for cross-border cooperation and an engine for the growth of communities through culture, innovation, and collective projects.
The central theme of the evening is cultural tourism as a human and community-centered experience, able to weave together stories, relationships, visions, and perspectives beyond administrative and geographical boundaries. We aim to inspire a deeper reflection that goes beyond the mere exchange of goods and services, advancing a model of interaction based on trust, reciprocity, and respect for places and host communities: sustainable tourism, rooted and generative for those who live in and visit the territory.
The conversation will be a dialogue between:
- Mara Černic—born in Udine to an Italian mother and Slovenian father, educated in Gorizia’s Slovene schools, former Vice President of the Province of Gorizia, now active in territorial development and EU projects, and a member of the board of Fundacija Poti miru;
- Alexander Klarić, project manager of GOV4PeaCE, active in international projects for cross-border dialogue and development.
The meeting will be moderated by Andrea Paoletti, president of Netural Coop and promoter of the Casa Netural project.. The goal is to build bridges, foster alliances among local actors, and stimulate new shared project opportunities for the future.
Borders and limits: beyond space, the relationship
The event will explore the concept of the border not only as a geographical limit but as a space for encounter and dialogue—something to be crossed and overcome through exchange, collaboration, and trust-building. Culture, storytelling, tourism, and community weave together to generate a new vision of a territory without barriers: true wealth comes from the intensity of relationships and the ability to work together for a more sustainable and shared future.
Casa Netural invites citizens, professionals, students, cultural and tourism operators to participate and contribute to an open reflection on the role of tourism, new forms of community, and the possibility of overcoming boundaries and limits through creativity, dialogue, and project work.
